A Quote to Live By
By: Sarah Olson
This is the quote you see splashed on the Service Coordinator’s office wall when you stop by the Plaza suite. It is there to inspire all who walk through that door. These words are intended to make people stop and think, am I truly living my life to its fullest potential? Or am I slinking under the radar, afraid to take the next big step that could change my life for the better?
This quote fits each of us in our personal lives and our relationships, and the individuals we support at Tobosa. Certainly, there is a “new normal” these days. Not only is it essential to live our ONE life to the fullest, but we need to encourage those around us to do the same. Some people need a push to try new things and take a leap of faith into a new life journey.
It Begins Here…
The journey as a new employee of Tobosa leads you on a path that will forever impact your life. You don’t come to Tobosa looking for just a job or a paycheck. You come in search of
- An opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life for the better.
- Learning experiences and receiving the best life lessons you could ever imagine.
- Knowledge and new ways of teaching, guiding, mentoring, and supporting.
Above all, you will learn what it means to be part of something bigger and more powerful than words can ever explain. After training, you will be introduced to some of the most amazing people you will ever meet. It is at that very moment that you start to make a difference.
Tobosa’s mission is to support the individuals and to help them live their lives to the fullest. We encourage them to take steps and learn skills to help them achieve their dreams or be more independent. Our Direct Support Professionals play a big part in helping to achieve those goals and dreams.
As we go through hard times and make adjustments,” I encourage you to live your life to the fullest extent possible. While you are doing so, make a difference along the way. You never know whose path you will cross, but know that you make a difference in their lives when you do.
